How public transport helps publishers

According to a study released by Chytomo and GUTENBERGZ public transport is the third most popular place for Ukrainians to read, after home and work. However, we suspect that for Kyiv residents this figure is much higher.

To make reading on the go even more convenient for you, we have set up book exchanges. We hope everyone already knows the locations where you can get a book. If you would like to replenish our book stocks, please bring detective stories, classics and fantasy novels – thanks to the research we know that those genres are in the greatest demand by Ukrainian readers.

The full text of the study is available here.

The study was conducted with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

The study was conducted by the Razumkov Centre sociological service between 26 October and 1 November 2018 in all regions of Ukraine except the Crimea peninsula and the occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. 2,013 respondents aged 15–59 years old were interviewed. The theoretical sampling error is 2.3%.
